Greeting and meeting at the airport.
One of our representatives will meet and greet you at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose. He will help you with your luggage, give you all the necessary vouchers and give you updated information about Costa Rica and your upcoming adventure. As soon as you get to your hotel you Deluxe SUV from National Car Rental will be waiting. So you may want to drive around San José a little or simply relax at the pool or sauna of the hotel.

This morning you will see the Canopy of the forest from a different perspective.
The Canopy San Jose de la Montaña is one of the most representative activities of Costa Rica. It is the perfect combination of Eco tourism and Adventure travel. Canopy Adventure San Jose de la Montaña is a very serious company with more than 10 years of experience and with the best tour guides of the industry.
So right after breakfast you will drive directly into this amazing activity.

After a hearty breakfast you will hop into your car and with the help of a Costa Rica Road Map you will drive directly to the Turrialba Valley at only 1.5 hours from San José. Turriabla is considered Costa Rica's top adventure destination. Here you can do almost every adventure tour possible including: white water rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding and canyoning. You will be arriving to your hotel before lunch, so maybe you will like to do some kayaking at the lake in front of your hotel.

One of the favorite activities to do in Turrialba is the Canyoning with Explornatura. Imagine rappelling down 5 waterfalls in the middle of the rain forest. The experience is unique. And right after lunchtime, you could drive to the Guayabo National Monument. Here is where Costa Rica's biggest indigenous civilization settle their colonies more than 700 years ago. You can hire a local guide to give you additional information.

Turrialba is located only 1 hour from the town of Siquirres where 2 of the most important rivers are located. The Pacuare River and Reventazon. Pacuare is considered one of the top 5 rivers in the world for white water rafting. So today your adrenaline will go to the limits paddling down one of these rivers with Explornatura. This adventure lasts around 3 hours and lunch is included.
After this incredible adventure you will drive in dirt roads towards the port of Caño Blanco, where the boats to Parismina and the Tortuguero Canals are waiting. It will probably take you 2 hours to get there, but the scenery going across small villages and banana plantations is like no other.
As soon as you get to Caño Blanco your boat will be waiting for you to take you to the town of Parismina. This is a fisher men town that has a Wildlife Reserve that protects the Turtles. If you decide to take this tour during the turtle nesting season you will get to see this impressive show during a night walk along the beach. And if you are not lucky to see the turtles, the boat rides in the Canals of the Tortuguero National Park is also nice and very relaxing.

Usually mornings are the perfect time for spotting animals in the wild, that is why we have arranged a morning boat tour in the canals. Howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, white face monkeys among others can be seen. You will have breakfast around 8 a.m. And depart Parismina to head back to San José.
On the way to San José you will be driving across one of the biggest and most important National Parks in the country: Braulio Carrillo. Driving in a Cloud Forest is nice. You will also be passing the only tunnel existing in Costa Rica: Tunnel Zurquí.
As soon as you get to San José your accommodations will be at a hotel close to the airport. That way the car rental company can pick up your car easily and you can take the free shuttle to the airport the next morning.
